As much as I wish this ship to stay afloat as well, Terezi's and Dave's interactions are following the same pattern as John's and Vriska's.

Favorable comparisons against past or current love interests, along with being helpful and tangentially discussing troll reproduction.

Regardless, we know Dave's not going to get hurt here because Future Dave gave the signal, unless they're pulling some kind of time shenanigans and the Dave we're viewing needs to get killed for some reason so Future Dave worked with Terezi to do it.

I'm guessing that Terezi can only view stable time loop versions of Dave, and we know that dead Daves do start piling up on occasions, so events do occur to Dave that require temporal reset.

So while Dave knows from himself that he can trust Terezi, it doesn't mean the journey won't be perilous for him, and especially for his doomed alternate selves.
