I didn't see the Sassacrusher in John's inventory. I saw the Sassacre book and the telescope, but not the Sassacrusher itself.

I just thought that might be one end of the Sassacrusher. However, we may not be seeing his full inventory, so.....

The Sassacrusher was stolen by a giclops.

I know that :P Just thought for a second that he had gotten it back somehow and I'm not sure if he can just go and alchemicize a new one.

I'm still confused on the MEOWMEOWMEOW thing.

Did I miss something while reading?  :-\

The MEOW code is actually genetic code, with M, E, O, and W subbed for A, T, C, and G (can't remember exact correlation).  If you look, you'll see that it's not just MEOWMEOWMEOW, but more like MEOMEWOEWMEOWMEOWOWMEOWME etc.

The secret Jaspers told Rose was the word "MEOW", which unlocked said genetic code from her subconscious.  (This, of course, raises the question of what it was doing there in the first place).

Which raises the even more interesting question of why they gave it to her.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

And then made her burn the book. I blame WPS and WTS' bastard child.

Because at some point in the story, probably fairly soon, she's going to convince the Dark Gods to put it in her head retroactively, to secure the time loop.  Or just use her magic to do it herself, since she apparently has no particular trouble hotlinking information to and from the Darkest Ring Public Server.
