Okay, that's some creepy wordplay guys.

I guess waiting around to die is pretty boring because there are fiduspawn thingamjigs lying around and a pile of horns. Just what are those trolls doing with their remaining free time? You'd think after winning Sgrub and making a universe it would be something productive instead of this passive approach to their impending doom.

You forget just what giant basket cases the Trolls are.  My guess of what everyone is up to-

Karkat: Doing his best hacker/Patton impression and watching John sleep, as we've seen.
Terezi: Chewing on colored wires to escape the gray of everything else.
Kanaya: We now know.
Vriska: Ditto, although this stills leaves a few unanswered questions about who's responsible for what.
Tavros: Possibly trying to look tough, for his own sake if not Vriska's, as it were.
Equius: Being strong, staring at Aradia from a distance, and building more robots probably.
Nepeta: Prancing around on other people's keyboards.
Sollux: Satisfying his computer itch and Platonic-hatefriendship with Karkat.
Feferi: Hovering over Sollux's shoulder and trying not to dehydrate.
Gamzee: Sitting in the Horn Pile and huffing Sollux's canned-air.
Aradia: Being spooky and IMing Scratch, when not chatting with herself for no good reason.

I never did figure out just how long they were hanging around that asteroid, but it doesn't seem like more than a few days.  It also seems like from start of trolling the kids to their Rift is about six hours.

Metaphor.  It's a great concept, you might want to look into it.

I'm fairly certain Andrew is being contradictory about the timeline just to see everyone scramble in an attempt to work it out. I bet he'll retroactively change it all to work out at some point, and then deny it all.

Oh my Gog!

It happened just as predicted!

I've probably laughed more at this update more than any one before.

Well well well, yet more proof Hussie keeps abreast of the fan art.

EDIT: Here's what I was looking for...

and

All the trolls were named via suggestion boxes. Credit where it is due.

Also, on the subject of pails, I made some more fan art.

I think this is one of those things he realized would be far to brilliant to pass up.

I would post that one image of Vriska blushing at the computer screen while Gamzee shows disgust, but hell if I'll find it now with the fan community no doubt up in arms over this.

And yeah, exactly as predicted. Nice.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

Oh, man. Somebody catch her. Let's milk this joke for all it's worth.

Also, is that a blurry hero mode Gamzee?

So, how much says that Hussie is going to bring buckets into the story at every oppertunity, no matter how unlikely, from now on? I can see it all now: "Land of Volcanoes and Buckets".

Also, I am now listening to the entirety of Volume 5 at once. There are a good deal of hidden gems there.

Why does it say "Rose: be the troll girl"?

Also, Kanaya seems pretty incompetent lately.
