And apparently he was crying, too, or at least that's what Terezi said

That isn't the important part!

When he's not throwing his dead body out of windows.

Dave getting a little freaked out and staring at his own blood on his hands for ten minutes was exactly what I had in mind.  I don't think he was crying or anything, but it was still pretty chill - he knew seeing a dead body would be freaky so he got rid of his own corpse after readily fobbing off a time paradox, although he was afraid Rose would see it, when she couldn't see his house (although he probably figured she'd be there at some point).  So, he's human, but I don't think he'll have changed much in the span of time John was sleeping.  We'll find out when he lands already.

Fake Edit: I actually wrote "hive" instead of "house" without even thinking about it.  Changing gears is going to take a little while.

If you hadn't edited your post before I quoted it maybe I would have realized you were making a joke and would have responded appropriately by not responding.

...although he was afraid Rose would see it...

Jade, not Rose. It's a bit more pressing of an issue to dispose of a dead body quickly if your server player can see it on her screen. So cool.

He's not going to turn into a sullen wreck just because he realized he died in an alternate timeline, but he's not going to escape unscarred from his encounter with death either. Unlike his troll counterpart he doesn't have a disposable attitude towards himself.

I guess it will remain to be seen how much he's affected by it. Visibly, probably not much.

Actually, the comic said Jade. OBSERVE!

Damn. Ninja'd.

...I swear to God that originally said "Rose".  I'm sure of it, because I took particular notice of it saying Rose and thinking that didn't make much sense.  Must be another one of those things Hussie retroactively edited, which I therefore can't prove because it's retroactively edited.

Aqizzar...

That's a bit of a stretch, even for you...

Aqizzar, that page has always said Jade. You're just in denial.

Maybe Hussie made a mistake himself when he first posted it, and changed it shortly after.  It has to be hard to keep all those characters in order at the pace he works.

Hey, look what I remembered-

Dammit Hussie.  But yeah, I guess Rose has that effect on people.

I saw you edit that. You are not quite the ninja you think you are.

Dammit Hussie.  But yeah, I guess Rose has that effect on people.

Great, now I'm going to have to look through the whole archive every time there's an update and make sure there isn't some obscure callback I missed.

Or you're wrong, and your ego can't let you admit it.

Seriously, no one cares that you got Rose and Jade mixed up.

You have no idea what my ego is or isn't capable of, but that's not the issue here.  Hussie is famous for making minor errors in the comic - misspellings, borked typing quirks, wrong names, even Vriska's faerie wings in one of those pics - and rapidly quietly editing it and pretending nothing ever happened.

So he screws up every once in a while. Big deal.
