And while Andrew is totally shithive maggots most of the time, he isn't stupid. He may kill Casey or Vodka Mutini, but he won't kill one of the kids because if he does, the entire story is completely screwed. If any of the important characters do die, we'll just get a Dave Save and try again.

Anyway, the Ring of Orbs Fourfold Wayward Vagabond pulls out of his knife has all four orbs lit. For the kernelsprite to hatch, Jade has to enter the Medium. She makes it that far, at least.

I always thought that it was only Dream Jade and the Dreambot which were killed/destroyed. We've seen the trolls being able to live without a dreamself (or vice versa), so I don't see why Jade would be an exception.
