Terezi's sprite was killed by a meteor literally just as it hatched. It's technically still an infant.

Also, Terezi could taste Karkat's blood through his skin? And now that she knows it, she can taste that his gray text is hiding red. Yeah, I'm starting to think those comments about Senator Lemonsnout's deceit stinking were completely serious and literal. She would have made a pretty good legislacerator if the world hadn't ended.

She woke up right before going blind. I'm thinking she went blind because her dream self was attacked. Sneaking into her Prospit tower and stabbing her eyes out when she's sleeping would be just Vriska's style, but there's nothing hinting that she was awake at the time. Would Kanaya have done it for her?

As for Dragonsprite, it was talking to Terezi long BEFORE it hatched. I think it's just excited.
