From the wiki:

Quote
The Land of Rays and ??? (the name is animated and does not say anything in particular)

So it's "LORA?"

The .gif on this page cycles through:

The Land of Rays and...gibberish. Upon examining the .gif file, there's no discernible words after the "and".
Andrew posted on the mspa forums that it's these phrases garbled together:

Quote from: Hussie
Whew boy all aboard the horseshit theory express!

These four phrases were chopped up and garbled:

MDRBZ
VUQSP
EAOML
XHELA

Go forth and crack the code! First one to start a theory fire gets a shiny boondollar.

So yeah, he's fucking around again.  Leading theory is that it's actually a cipher for "Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff", since the number of letters matches up.  No doubt it'll be solved soon enough by the sort of people who can decode pictures from goddamn Squiddles static.

You know, I think this might be significant. Like Karkat's rainbow blood. Andrew's subtle way of telling us that he knows a secret and he's not telling. She's the Jade-equivalent of the trolls and Jade hasn't entered yet. This is about her somehow. Possibly connected to whatever the hell a "forge" is. Is this about the "ultimate alchemy"?

Anyway, what to call it. LORA? doesn't look very elegant. LORAX? Yeah, I think I like LORAX. The speaker for the trees.

Lorax, the speaker for the trees:

"I speak on behalf of the trees!"

Lorax, the speaker for the trees:

-snip-

"I speak on behalf of the trees!"

This seems a lot like Seltzer and Friedberg humour to me :\

Dr. Seuss, actually. Environmentalist story about deforestation and pollution and maybe consumerism too.

On thinking about Kanaya's land, it could be that the second aspect of her land hasn't been decided yet, and that the gibberish is a sort of place holder for when that gets determined.

Because it looks a little bare, doesn't it? It's got the rays, it's got Kanaya's hive, but then it's just a vast, featureless sea.

That would be incredibly lazy on Hussie's part.  I have to go with Soad, it's just his way of keeping us from knowing what it is until he's ready.

Still lazy, but not as bad as "Man, I don't even know."

No, I'm fully aware of Dr Seuss and the Lorax (one of my favourite stories by him, actually); just posting "The speaker of the trees: I am the speaker of the trees!" was what I was referring to.

What I meant was that Kanaya would be the one who would get to determine what the rest of her land looks like, not that Hussie hasn't figured it out yet.

She's got a forge. She can hammer out the details.

IDE (whatever that means)/Theory: Since Sburb/Sgrub is loosely based off some bizarre mixture of programming language and unversal laws of reality, there could be 'glitches' present in it. The fact that the second aspect of Kanaya's world hasn't been chosen could be a sign that her world wasn't procedurally generated correctly, and there could be far reaching consequences yet to be explored as a result.

If she finds the time. She has quite a few irons in the fire with all the romance going on.

Steel yourselves, I think the story's about to heat up.

I talked to a guy on the internet the other day who thought Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff was getting less ironic in the later issues, citing things like clip-art and fancy speech bubbles.

He just doesn't get it.

Twenty-four hours ago I began Homestuck. After a few obligations like sleep and college, I have finished (so far). That was amazing.
