Who are those people who appear in the animation trailer for half a second, in a cloud of static? I think it's Jade and Rose. And what's up with the last three seconds of the first track? And plumbthroat keeps switching between "heinous" and "chronic depression". Well, acute depression, I guess. This'd be one creepy television show to watch. This all feels like at any moment it's going to segue back to Jack sundering Prospit and Dream Jade dying under a moon.

I can certainly imagine Rose and Jade watching this, though. One with her love of the macabre would be all over the bad uncanny valley special effects and the other has been immunized to creepiness by her dead grandfather in the foyer and Skaian dream visions.

Well, Rose has an actual Squiddles shirt, she'd probably be a fan too. And at least the first apparition had legs. And a moon on her shirt, and a book. I got a Witch of Space vibe from that. Also, the first was dressed in blue and the second in purple.

 One would imagine his fascination with them ended when he found his brother using them in a snuff video. Of course it was all just him being wonderfully ironic about it all to an extent you wouldn't even know man.

I still like the theory that Bro isn't actually ironic on any level at all, but merely ridiculously fucked up. I didn't have an older brother, so I wouldn't know, but I imagine discovering that he deals in an illicit industry involving puppets, blenders, and nipple-chains would be quite disillusioning, especially to someone who looks up to him as Dave does.
