 WD is a cool dude and all, but not the outrageously cool dude that Dave is. You would need somebody more calm and apathetic, who has some feature about themself that makes them stand out in coolness yet is savvy enough to not make much of a deal of it unless it is called for.

I have social skills! Why, just yesterday I was hiding in a little crawlspace in the roof of the woman's changing room in the local pool, just so I could find out what their interests were!
