Apologies, it usually happens in those odd moments when a ton of characters are being introduced.
It just seemed odd to me that it would happen at that point, when Rose was being all evil like,
and is arguably very very similar to Kanaya.

The updates just kept coming. They just... kept... coming...

Kanaya is cooler, now, I guess. She seems way more human now, getting all frusterated and confused and stuff. I like background stuff, too. They hint at Vriska trolling John right after Kanaya gets blocked by him... I want to see that...

More Kanaya.

Kanaya's plan seemed much more impressive when we didn't get to look at the text in question.

I suspected Hussie was going to leave out of a love of the meat of these character-critical conversations, for exactly that reason.  The reader's imagination is definitionally better than whatever happens to be written, because of the boundless possibilities.  Not that there's anything particularly wrong with this.  Except, y'know, Rose + Kayana = Perfumey Traps a'Flappin'.

Spoiler: It Keeps Happening (click to show/hide)

Also, it pleases me that Hussie has started updating a couple hours earlier in the day.  For a long time, he was dropping updates right as I was walking out the door to work, so I had to wait five hours to read them.

And the Ship is rather well sunk now. I can already hear the femshippers moving out with tugboat ships of Vriska to try to salvage this one.

Don't be so sure.  That text file, which is judiciously edited to insult Rose and yet is dripping with unrequited friendship, before sending it in conversation 7/3.  She then said she'd skip ahead to 8/8, and Hussie has skipped over about four in between.  Which brings us to the "current" conversation, while Rose is obliterating Turtle City, in which they are on a first-name basis and hasn't ended yet.  The Good Ship Girlfriends is in rough seas, but I don't think it's taking on water just yet.

Not to self - finish reading update before commenting on it.

I think Duke meant Vriska X Kanaya is sinking, Aqizzar.

Yuk yuk.

I think Duke meant Vriska X Kanaya is sinking, Aqizzar.

Don't care, I said my analysis, whatever the Hell it was I was responding to.  Point is, Kanaya is finally doing something, namely being so inept and yet successful at antagonizing Rose into being her friend, and doing a terrible job of hiding it, that she's just plain adorable.
