Also yeah the bird was impaled earlier, I dont think the bird sprite was complete or whatever in that one scene.

I thought it was Dead Bird + Bro's Sword, myself.  Maybe I'm wrong about that?

The pattern I'm guessing for prototyping is "Dead beloved thing + one of guardian's obsession objects," because that gets you a nice transition into "adulthood"... whatever that might mean.

Or maybe I'm just crazy.  But I think the pattern makes a bit more sense that way.
