Actually, I think he's a younger, pre-detective Problem Sleuth. The whole reason he's involved with the story at all is because of his investigations (notwithstanding the fact that his mother is, in fact, part of the stable time loop).

I always wondered though, why the Dersites want to cause the reckoning? Are they not aware that it's what'll end the game, and therefore their own lives once the game resets itself? It seems as though they're rushing to meet their death or something.

Why would it end their lives, though? If the chessboard is any indication, Sburb am who am.

Besides, the game continues. The exiles - presumably, dersites and prospitians - restore life to the planet the Reckoning destroys.

Also, the Reckoning is merely what happens after Black King defeats White King and takes his staff. The game isn't over until the players (the kids, the trolls, anyone else who's ever played Sburb) beat the Black King.

Where does it say that? I thought the game ended once all the Denizens were destroyed, or something. Was the "Win condition" elaborated on? I can't remember.

The poll isn't precise enough. Vriska is indeed a BLUH BLUH HUGE BITCH, but she has improved somewhat, and by the point Aradia retaliated had been on the verge of redeeming herself. By which I mean, not screwing up the whole game.
