Eh, Grandpa could probably still take it on just to mount her head on something. But what wall is big enough for that trophy?

Nothing is too big for the trophy wall.

No, but 413 million years ago is between the first land plants and the first mass exctinction event that marked the age of dinosaurs begining.
Er, nooo.  That would be about 65million.  413million is more like the end of the Cambrian period.
65 million is the end of the age of dinosaurs, which began at 250 million years ago, and was marked by a 99% dieoff. Land plants came into existance at 510 million years ago.

Frog Temple probably caused the Cambrian extinction. Which led to the Silurian period, which led to fish becoming amphibians. Coincidence? Not likely.

No, get your facts straight: http://www.fossils-facts-and-finds.com/geologic_time_line.html 413 MYA would be right before the Silurian/Dvonian period boundary. Tetrapods first evolved in the Devonian.

Hang on a tick, yeah. You're right, and I stand heartily corrected.

But the amphibian connection is still there!

I would guess that the connection is more likely to be something like "Hey, you know what would be funny? If the temple had frogs on it. Heh. Frogs."

When years are in MYA, they're estimates.

To be specific, Tetrapods appeared in the late Devonian. http://www.palaeos.com/Paleozoic/Devonian/LateDev.html#Vertebrates

Well yea, paleontologists can't pin very old fossils down to plus or minus a thousand years, with younger fossils, (like the past 10 million years or so), its easier.

This seems to indicate that the caste system is not, in fact, bullshit.

On the other hand, we've seen no proof that lower castes are more susceptible to psychic powers or trauma. Vriska's only been seen to manipul8 the theoretically mid-caste Sollux and Tavros, while Aradia is one of the more powerful characters despite her dark red blood.

In addition, if the lusii in the feeding scene are any indication, Vriska is capable of mind-controlling the entire spectrum with no apparent difficulty.

Psychic power and psychic resistance are not necessarily the same thing.

Not necessarily, but Aradia's case seems to indicate that it is. And probably Sollux, since Vriska can only control him half the time, presumably when he's depressive.

I am reminded of Karkat's completely unique human-coloured blood. Wondering now that if he is responsible for the ectobiology involved in making all the babies, regardless of the troll reproductive system, he may have accidentally used human paradoxmatter or something like that.

Perhaps psychic resistance is tied into your blood caste, but anyone can have any level of psychic power?

I remember Vriska's mind control being very conditional. That the 'victim' needs to be impressionable or have a fragile state of mind. If the subject is neither, then it doesn't matter what the 'psychic resistance' of the individual is, it just won't work.
