Did John just take the entire panel?
More like "the entire unstuck-in-canon dimension".

The next update will probably consist of a shitty curtain and the advent of PURE ART SKILL barrage.
And then we will be left hanging for a pause, since that seems to be looming in the horizon.

And so begins Gigapause II
aka Terapause, going by the Homestuck pause naming convention.

Couldn't it be a micro- or nanopause instead, pretty please?

Omegapause, since probably the last.
And then Hussie pulls another pause before the real end.

This was completely and utterly unexpected. I am seriously blown away at this stunning revelation.

My only qualm about it being Vriska is that it seems so obvious there'd be no point hiding her identity.

Well, obviously the point was so that the intermission could end with the dramaaaaaaaatic reveal instead of having it be said offhandedly earlier.

I honestly don't know why I didn't see this application of her powers. It's fairly obvious, in retrospect. Finally feels like Homestuck again.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Especially since it's the only application of her powers she ever really used to any significant effect.

I'm slightly upset that so much of the story has been essentially undone.

It can be sort of justified if you think about it from a meta-perspective of restarting from the last save, with GAME OVER and what not.

Side note, saw the URL before I had even made it past the first page-thing, which is a rather blunt message.

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

So is the Vriska in the dreambubble on the other side of Hussie's sadrock a doomed timeline Vriska that died somewhen else, then?

It's true that John's meta-mess has made her alive again, but what happens to AH's OTP now?
