Can someone please confirm that everything Hussie made before Jailbreak is lost forever?
I'm pretty sure you can find his old comics somewhere.
I used to use this as the archive of his early works. Unfortunately, all the links now appear to be broken, but you can at least see the list of what he has produced, lots of which exists elsewhere on the internet.

Hey guys.

What if this is it?

What if hussie never intended to finish homestuck?

What if this hiatus is just him trolling us, and this is actually all he'll make?

It's something he'd do.

It wouldn't really both me much...  The situation has gotten so ridiculous, maybe I don't believe everything can be explained in one update (even a huge one).

But while it's not going to resolve every thread, I'm sure it will
  • Consist almost entirely of obscure callbacks, including the music
  • Be delightfully over the top
  • Probably resolve a lot of plot threads via death
  • Exhibit each type of troll romance in a crucial role
  • Not kill Gamzee

But if he does give up, I look forward to the hundreds of crazy endings the fandom will come up with... Though that will happen even when he releases the "canon" ending, because nobody can stop the fanfic.  It's already here.

He can even claim literary precedent:

"The truth is, I have got my hero (or heroine) into such a particularly close place, that I do not see how I am ever going to get him (or her) out of it again—and therefore I will wash my hands of the whole business, and leave that person to get out the best way that offers—or else stay there. I thought it was going to be easy enough to straighten out that little difficulty, but it looks different now." - Mark Twain, Autobiography and First Romance

Alas, the life of a Queen is a lonely one. Do the things with the whatsit."

Guys, every PXS update ever is, most definitely, without a doubt, 413% canon.

That joke aside, how many days is it until 6/12?

The more we hype it, the more painful the disappointment will be from the lack of update on that day.

Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

PSX, assuming it's what I'm thinking it is, failed to load for me. Not sure why.

I wonder if anything will happen on 6/12.

Probably a huge surge of sbahj updates just to fuck with everybody.

ABANDON HOPE

I keep borking my "Save" on the site. Seeing as little tends to go on here, I'm going to keep a link to the current page. (/?s=6&p=008752)

Anyway, back to actual "discussion." I doubt anything will happen on 6/12. I want there to be something, but I doubt it. In January, after about three months of gigapause, it was said that there would be about a month of writing left. So after February, the rest of the time would be for drawing. One assumes it might take longer to draw than it would write, but I'm assuming the opposite can be true. (For example, I'm guessing the "recent" Jade-Dave argument in the comic took longer to write than it did draw.) Anyway, in between February and 6/12, there would be about three months of drawing. That's roughly a month less of than there was of writing. All of this does not factor in any side-projects (Such as PXS and the Game.) that potentially increased the amount of time it took to write the comic.

In short, looking at the time that has passed, an update on 6/12 is possible, but still quite unlikely.

Now onto something else. Does every one agree that the symbol for space is a galaxy? A surprisingly small amount of people seem to have realized this.

Yes, and the symbol for Void is the spaces between the Galaxy's Arms.

I sort of see that. I've always seen the void symbol as sort of, moving in towards "nothing."

Could anyone with photoshop overlay the symbols?

I took the liberty of rotating the void symbol a little.
