That was the date that Cascade went live. I also hope that it doesn't end on 10/25, because that would mean over a year of waiting. While plausible, it'd be frustrating. It's clear that the nearer 10/25 is impossible, or else Hussie wouldn't have bothered with a Gigapause announcement.

Unless he already has everything ready and just made the announcement to mess with the fans.
It's a little known fact (i.e. it's actually well known, but nobody actually talks about it) that Homestuck has been finished for ages, and Hussie has linked the updates to an algorithm that uploads the pages semi-randomly.

There have been theories why he does it that way, with the most prevalent being that he's been dead for, I don't actually remember the exact date, and he's actually off doing silly things involving dead horses in the outer ring.

The other popular theory is that Hussie is a troll. Not a Homestuck troll, an internet troll.

That's not a theory, that's a given.

That's not a theory, that's a given.
From everything that has happened, I wouldn't be surprised. XD
Also this whole thing is getting kinda schizophrenic for me, with basically all the main characters aside from a few being in the same spot at the same time.

God fucking damn that shift in art style is jarring.
Anyway what am I looking at? Who is making that? Why is it a thing? Is this something I don't know about?

It's refreshing to see a Homestuck flash that's actually animated instead of being a mess of moving static pictures, even though it's fan-made.

Oh hey, today is 10/25.

That means Cascade is, unless I'm mistaken, 2 years old today.

Never forget the day the internet died.

Even though I didn't even know what Homestuck was at the time and was not affected by it.

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

Interestingly, Cascade was the first Homestuck related thing I saw. It drew me in fairly quickly, so I guess I've been with it for almost a couple years now. Neat.

What was it like seeing it without having read Homestuck?
