No evidence of that - not that Gamzee is being mind controlled here - he's not doing this of his own volition.

Am I the only one who hummed an ominous theme while I watched this update?

Well that's the stupidest idea I've ever heard of.

Hope it works! :D

Ahem, welp.

One thing that is potentially interesting is this could end in a war over control of the Grimbark. Especially how Aranea said:

ARANEA: I've had quite a long time to refine my a8ilities.
ARANEA: I will have a few tricks up my sleeve.

I not sure on what else to say, other than shit will be going down.

Oh wait, personalities. If the B1 and B2 universes are anything to go by, the personalities of the two versions of a character are virtually identical. If we look at A1 Aranea and the A2 version of herself, it makes sense that Aranea would develop into this.

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

OH SHI-

Great, she's gone nuts. Doesn't she realize that the reason it's a doomed timeline is because it would invalidate it's own existence. Along with insisting on the name mindfang, I think it is safe to say that she has gone off the deep end.

Of course, she can't pull it off herself. Both the kids, who want their session as offered, and Condence, who wants the kids session, will oppose her. We can probably look at a breakup of (with current information).

Condense - Herself, Jane
Kids - John, Dirk, Jake, Roxy, Rose, Terezi, Karkat, Kanaya, Dave (I don't know about him, may sit out of the battle due to the prophesy)
Aranea - Gamzee (Until Lord English is already there), Whoever she can manipulate

Of course, Jade is a toss up what happens, assuming she lives to see the conflict.

John, kill the Serket first and prevent everything getting messed up.

I forgot to mention, but this update also 107% confirms the universe made in B2 will be Caliborn's home.

This was a surprise to nobody.

This sort of absurdity, if she can stop the timeline from being doomed, actually sorta sparks a bit of hope, I suppose.

I'm pretty sure it isn't the case exactly. They've got the nature, but growing up in different times under different circumstances will have changed the nurture. I mean, look at Kankri and the Sufferer: Tell me these guys are really the same when their backgrounds led to such different paths. If Aranea thinks she knows the Condesce inside and out just because she's familiar with Meenah, she's got a big surprise coming. (On the other hand, she dd do a lot of research. She may actually be quite familiar with the Condesce's individual quirks.)
