And so, just as the Knight of Mind gave up on sanity when she started dating the crazy guy, and the Knight of Blood gave up on the linage of his species by accepting his shitty astral fate, the Knight of Time gives up on being awesome.

IDE/Theory time???????? Well, my theories are simple, for I am a very simple person. All this fancy aspect talk and class symbolism is something that can't really catch my drifting attention, so preoccupied with acquiring the next meal, so preoccupied with impressing the members of the opposite sex with my bulging torsal musculature.

Mei krazy theoriez(may have posted some already):

-There is a whole number of biological differences between the Paradox Clones and the other members of their species. Since their entire biological makeup is arbitrary(do they even HAVE a genom in the human sense? cells? organs?) they are just barely similiar enough to their "host species" that they aren't put in a governmental lab/culled at first sight. This is the reason all the kids were brought up quite isolated.
Bro and Mom might actually have been raised in a lab (or, in Bro's case, however Dirk raised himself) until they were old enough to hide the differences, or Grandpa Harley might have holden his hands over them.
All players are actually born with their Mythological Role powers, it just needs age and probably the act of entering SBURB and fulfilling crazy quests to fully activate them.
The kids have already started turning superhuman, and, in the latest Update, Dave is vehemently rejecting this development. We will see were this metamorphosis leadspthagn iä iä Cthulhu.
Indications: Jake's eyes, Dirk's dissapearing mouth, the fact that the only nonplayer-humans or trolls we saw were on photos(and Dad), Jake's horror when Jane actually developed a skin color(before the peachy debacle), the fact that Condy could hide really obvious speci-al features.

-Dad is the son of Condy and Sassacre. This is the reason he is at least 60 if one does the math but still your archetypical Papa instead of Opa, why he is so 1950s, why he and Mom hit it off so easily: he is aging really slowly. This in turn made Nanna and her husband Mr Egbert take him in when he was little and the Batterwitch disappeared. And it is why he shaves so religiously: lets just try not to imagine the Condesce's body hair.

-The disappearance of the Batterwitch in B1 means that Condy did not reach Earth via a Skaian Defense Portal, which would have put a copy of her into both universes. The only reasons for B1Condesce to vanish would be a) being defeated and killed by Grandpa Harley(highly improbable) b)noticing she's in the wrong time fork and switching semi-universes. The c) option of course would be she's been hiding in Egbert's cellar for thirty years by now and counting.
So how did she get into B1+2? Probably by infiltrating the Trolls' session and then Billy Slick. Somehow. Maybe by some handy universe travel device like the one in [s]Cascade. Mebbe the EXACT universe travel device from [s]Cascade?

-Skaia, as the embodyment of Paradox Space, is the final final endbonusextraboss. The boss battle is actually already running, too subtle and too disconnected to even notice. The powers that be have pushed their pawns and knights into position and begun the trading  of pieces. A storm of fire is rising in even the most complacent of minds. The clock's hands are baulking against the pressing force of time, the tapes that measure form a gordian knot, all lights blind when they should illuminate.  A thousand forced metaphors scream out in pain and then --are silenced.

The way Jade's mouth is reflected kind of makes it look like Dave is crying. Which I'm guessing is the intended effect.

What if.
What if in the Homestuck universe everyone is a paradox clone of themselves?

No Dave. don't give up on time travel!
There was this whole big thing about you accepting your own mortality and shit!

Although... maybe this ties into his other character arc, with the stepping out of his Bro's shadow and having self esteem and all that? Like, he's saying he doesn't need to change himself because he's good enough already?

I've said this before, but the more correct term to use it Hypothesis. The word theory implies something that is basically proven true, with only minor details up to debate as new 'discoveries' occur.

Meanwhile, I can only assume this, but every JadeDave shipper has entered Hearts Boxcars mode and the screaming in their minds, "Kiss the girl!"

Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

Not... really. A scientific theory just implies a model made up of relatively true statements. It's perfectly possible to have a theory that is outright false that is still a theory. A theory is something that holds predictive or prescriptive power within the context where it's statements are true - nothing more, nothing less. Something being a theory has little to now impact on whether or not it is representative of the real world, which seems to be what you are implying with the words "basically proven true". A theory is not necessarily accepted.

A hypothesis is an individually testable conjecture, and certainly doesn't apply to such broad-reaching predictions of the truth behind the story as a whole.

Most IDE/Theory bits are much closer to theories than they are to hypotheses.

Good thing I ship Dave/Jane then.

Clearly, Dave is giving up on time travel, and instead he is going to fight by stopping time for others and speeding it up for himself.

Alright, shitty crystal ball time!

Possibilities as to what could happen:
  • Dave has another tantrum, this could be spectacular or dull.
  • Jade attacks WV to force Dave to use time travel
  • Dave just gives in and does time travel.
  • Shippers' dream(s).
  • Dave demands to have )(IC show up, with her being the only thing he's willing to fight.
  • He does Aradia's time stopy thingy, or a time speedy thingy.
  • John
  • A mix of the the above
  • Nothing

Five boondollars on WV being threatened.
Also five boondollars on John appearing.

...I'm not very good at betting.

Andrew Hussie Selects:

  • Shippers' dream(s). (Inversion, unless you ship something else and wanted this to happen so yours could be true.)
Others may be selected as time goes on.

That ship is filling with water from a torpedo hole the size of Texas... not that I care about that kind of thing in any capacity. I like romance in my stories as much as the next guy: as a convenient filler between brutal swordfights.

Seriously though, I love the panel fuckery Jade is pulling as a standard action by now, but I was the tiniest bit disappointed her eyes weren't full of stars. Uh, evil stars. Well, we'll see.

And Dave has unsuprisingly some points about the uselessnes of Time travel. There's still hope he honed his flashstepping skillz haha who're we kidding. All he honed was his rap muscle. And his boredom gland. If a gland is something you can hone.
