There's still a gap between the top of the structure and the portal. Maybe he'll have to jump through?

Also, did the windmill get knocked over or something?

AT: yOU WANT ME TO APOLOGIZE,
AT: fOR BEING PARALYZED,

Best moment of that chat log man.

Yes, I love that Vriska put the lathe out in the yard and the platform thingee on the roof.  I imagine one of the first things Tavros will try to design is a motorized chair.  I also love the inherent cruelty of Sburb, putting a guy in a wheelchair on a world made of sand.
Oh man, I didn't see that.  Wow.  pOOOOOOOOOOOR tAVROS

Also, notice how Tavros is actually frowning, this is like the third time ever.

Whoah, you're right! Shit just got real! :o

Terezi's still winning the smile contest, though. I think she's only frowned ONCE, when Vriska killed Aradia.

Or did she also frown when we saw her after Vriska crippled Tavros? I can't remember.

Well, she did have that look of shock and terror when her dragon-lusus was meteor'd in front of her.

Wait, she can interact with an object he's using?

WHAT. HUSSIE GOING BACK ON A PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED POINT IN A WAY THAT WILL PROBABLY BE EASILY AND SATISFACTORILY EXPLAINED? THIS IS BULLSHIT.

Um, Andrew? Servers can't move objects if they move the player in the process. Remember?
It's an older version of Skaia. Perhaps the game updated itself to remove that exploit.

Yeah, that's what I immediately assumed as well.

I know! It tells a lot about Tavros that refusing to apologise to Vriska for being paralyzed sounds defiant. :P

As for moving the wheelchair, my pet theory is that it's unique to her. Rose would have used it to help John, but Vriska's just using her server powers to bully Tavros, and the game is just fine with the players having to face extra challenges. I am going to ignore all evidence to the contrary, even if the evidence takes the form of Andrew explaining it in a satisfactory manner. ESPECIALLY if it takes that form.

Wait, did Sburb (the game) become sentient or something. The way you all talk about it makes me think the game is actively trying to screw the players over.

The game can't help but screw the players over. It's in its nature.

What is the difference between sentience and predetermined actions giving the illusion of sentience? The time loops hinge on everything being flawlessly in place. Cal gets to the Ectobiology Lab because the hoverboard just happens to pass under Dave's window at the precise moment Rose tosses him out. The doomsday timers count down to predestined meteor impacts that will be caused by the Reckoning after Black beats White. SOMETHING is managing history. It doesn't matter if it's actively trying to, or simply has already done that in the future. Whether or not the game is a sentient being, it is quite capable of acting like one.

I agree to an extent - with stable time loops, anything can seem incredibly pre-planned or choreographed, but really it's always going to happen that way because it always has. However it does seem that Sburb (or something in control of Sburb) is puppeteering.

But the fact is that there is unstable time travel, and as such stable time loops dont appear out of nowhere.

So someone is puppeteering.

The obvious answer would be that it's Lord British, of course.
