Sure there is. It still has to have the capacity to create itself.
And it has to actually exercise that capacity, as well. I mean, the thing is, self-causation is perfectly internally consistent, it just doesn't usually work in the real world on account of travel backwards through time not usually being a thing.
In this way, existence can actually be simplified down to believing in oneself.
Or, for some people, believing in God who believes in you.
Or believing in fairies?

This perfectly mirrors how Caliborn summarized Homestuck. It gives the illusion that important things are happening without actually telling you anything whatsoever.

Dick move Egbert, dick move.

Eh, we can be fairly certain he had a decent reason to do that to his top-tier bro.

Now to see if the two we have remaining get down to some good old flirt-larp.

You know, I don't think Dave has ever talked to Aradia about timey stuff before, which I think would be the only way he would know how to time-freeze people, which could be useful right now....or soon, at least.

'Course now as soon as he stops any time freeze he attempts on Jade he'd probably be gutted or something horrific.

There is totally no translucent text in my first post to this thread on page 3141

My inner-shipper is screaming. I mean look at Jade, she's smiling!

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

The rare Heir of Wind ability: Blue Miles.
Correction, it's called: Abscond Like a Windy MOFO.

Well, while rereading I recently discovered that the entire story was constructed from the beginning to be filled with veiled shipping references.

Wow, Dave ):
I know he's been hanging out with Karkat but still.
Also hooray for putting the egg in Excalibur.
