Next he says "psyche" and we get to see the treasure!

But that is ALSO a psyche, and we're off again.

Oh well, you decide to graciously disregard the one and only plothole in this elaborate tale. In fact you think you will use your dark sorcery to make it - POOF - disappear! Ha ha, what problem?

I feel very annoyed by this.

I know it's a joke yet I am thoroughly annoyed.

Stop berating yourself, Hussie.

Wait a minute...

Doesn't this mean we're starting a new character, and therefore get to repeat all the actions we always do with a character?

Enter Name, then Retrieve Arms, then Examine Interests.

I'd say Clattersworth, with Cap'n Nipples as a distant second.

I swear, if the next panel is dear sweet Casey murder, I'm done. For at least a day.

You'll get dear, sweet, precious implied Casey murder, because we're about to hop back to the chest if Vriska has anything to say about it.

It's an almost certainty we'll end this side quest with someone busting in and stopping the storyline, just like happened with the Scratch intermission. It's simply too easy for someone to suddenly bust through the background scenery like the Kool Aid Man.

Oh and +1 for Captain Nibbles.

I bet the thing in the chest is a way to speak to NarratorHussie, and that's why she's suddenly in the narrative text.

Possibly even the narrative prompt machine. That LE took from Hussie's mansion when he killed him.
The text never said anything about what denizen Caliborn defeated, or when.

It's occured to me recently that Homestuck is really just Hussie's ultimate trolling effort. There's really nothing in the comic that doesn't boil down eventually to a reference, pun, or troll.
