Gamzee is not a time traveler, remember the Meteor Lab.

Remember that he appeared in the B2 session before anyone else but Jane did with Aradia's time travel devices at his side.

Would his jokerkind strife specibus or whatever Gamzee uses the timetables with allow him to use a prototyped ring?

No, because it's technically not a weapon.

His timeline seems pretty understandable really.

Furthest Ring > B2 Session > Earth seems more likely, since that's where the meteor's heading.

And recall that B2 was destroyed by the Red Miles shortly after everybody finished Entering in 2424, so Earth had to have been moved very quickly (presumably into the Medium, where Earth's "proprietor" is).

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Jokerkind is all kinds, from DECKS, to DICE, to FURNITURE.
Think of it as a finicky sheathe.

Well, it would definitely allow him to kill imps by throwing the ring like a miniature chakram. Dunno if having <item>kind in your specibus lets you activate special abilities or not. (Though I'd lean towards 'yes' in Gamzee's case.)

...

I need fanart of Gamxena beheading an imp with the royal ring now.

It wouldn't rally activate any special abilities, from what is seen, it just uncaptchas items into your hand, as if you equipped it in some RPG.
