Terezi: Taste the rainbow.

Anyway, there is another possibility.  Karkat is full of shit and doesn't know what he's talking about.  It's not impossible.  I must admit though, I'm impressed by how blase he is about a stab wound.

I don't think making stuff up like that would be Karkat's style. Okay, it's not impossible. And I bet that despite just having (getting!?!?) to decapitate her own lusus and having all her conspirators desert her, Vriska is hurt by Karkat giving her a scientific explanation of why she will never have friends. :P

I really like how he's all cool about the stab wound, too.

Possibly this sort of thing happens to him a lot.

Considering his love of sickles and shit, and crazy ass troll culture, he's probably familiar with bleeding yeah.  But then, Vriska seemed to react to it more than he did.

I don't think there was that much science involved.  I mean, sure, he calls himself "carcinoGeneticist", but that explanation wasn't that scientific.  And what he told Vriska was basically, "You're fucking loopy, pick a mood and stick to it, or no one will ever like you."  But then, troll romance, hate=friends, whatever and so forth.

Goddamnit Hussie.

I like to think that he's okay with the stabbing since he can see that Jack will be a great ally, and that is more important at the moment than arguing about who stabbed who.

I dunno, I got more of a "You're a one-note wonder, and that's why your hate means less than mine. Mine has context; yours is just sort of always there" vibe from it.

Quote from: Andrew Hussie
Kismesis = kismet + nemesis

By his description, pretty obviously the troll equivalent of an arch nemesis, tied to some element of destiny. Nemesis in no way associated with human concept of romance, but for trolls it apparently is. Clearly falls under blackrom category.

Moirallegiance = Moira (mythological personification of fate) + allegiance

Moirail = noun form of above = "Moirai" spelling variant of Moira + single letter truncation of allegiance

Definition left pretty vague, as was much else. Pretty easy to guess Morail / Matesprit concepts would likely fall under redcom categories.

Broadly implicated: redrom = good, blackrom = not so good

Anyone paying even more attention might associate red/black with suits of cards as was implied by shipping wall. Nepeta only demonstrated interest in documenting red suit (redrom) ships. At least as far was we could tell.

Bottom line? Humans have one icon to depict romance: <3

Trolls have four.

I can only say... That was just as awesome as something should be to compensate after a weeks leave and then some!

I LOVE what this implies if you apply some evolutionary psychology, I think the trolls have much more alien phenomenological vantage point than most people seem to think... Even the Babyeaters form Three Worlds Collide had real numbers as their basic model of emotion, just like humans, but apparently trolls have a quite different emotional life...

Meh. I'm no psychologist, but this seems like a bit of a boring update unless you are a rabid shipper. And it was already pretty clear the trolls didn't think much like humans, what with the whole "raised by monsters" thing.

I was actually interested, and I really don't give a shit about who's with who, as long as something gets blown to smithereens. I like all kinds of science. even sociology.
