In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Or no clothing at all, except layers upon layers of capes.

On a completely unrelated note, I wonder how long it'll be until we can buy an album with Eternity's Shylock in it.

EDIT: Also I bet Earth is in the Medium at this very moment. The meteor needs to smack into it to set up Caliborn, and who but the Condesce could be described as its proprietor? If, as the wiki claims, the Condesce conquered Derse after Earth on her personal timeline, that'd work out pretty well. She'd have to be communicating with her past self to do the whole seeding of the Earth with Carapaces thing, but that's a pretty reasonable thing. How she got it there... I dunno, but between her and GCat I'm sure something could be worked out. Speaking of which, I don't think GCat was present for any of the Alphas' entrances, which I choose to assume supports my theory.

Yeah, but Dave didn't have a Sylladex, so he had to carry everything around in his hands like a giant tool.

Anyway, Ascension. I wonder if Hussie will crush our expectations at the last second?
