Considering that you're bound to find out everything there is to the beta unless you avoid all of the internet that routinely mentions Homestuck, yes.

That boils down to leaving the internet in its entirety.

Or, !hopefully! the plot will be emergent!

On the other hand, will playing this game really be the same if you aren't playing the Beta?

I doubt it'll be emergent, since it is an adventure game.

WEIRD SPECULATION TIME: There will be a gratuitous amount of characters in Homestuck:The Game, all of which are properly introduced and characterized, many even playable. So many characters. Let's say, a few dozen characters. Yes, their exact number is going to be important, but only for weird symmetric symbolism.

Then they start dying. It is the homestuck uni(?)verse, after all. The players' actions and decisions influence a little who dies first and who survives for a while, but in the end, there is no hope, not even a lesser evil to choose. Nothing but raging against the inevitable.
One character after the other dies, in meteor fire or from the rough hands of a few malevolent, far superior entities. It will be more hopeless than Pathologic, more surreal than a five-star indie flashgame on Kongregate. Then, when the last playable character is facing their last stand, when you have moved heaven and earth just to procrastinate, when you have traded your soul to Old Scratch for a matchlock musket and a power-up

the big game scratches

and you start anew, just a little differently. A few characters know more than before, the aforementioned matchlock musket turns up in your jeans pocket with a pre-collection letter ducttaped to it, weird schizotech appears at the corners of the city, whose mayor is now almost that vampire wizard fey mummy cyborg that successfully tried to eat you last time. Fun times.
You are back on your feet. A few things are lost, but there are new things. Things to defend and to defend with. Maybe now it's enough.

In the end, it is not enough. This ancient tibetan U-Spaceboat doesn't deal hit point damage, its a save vs. death four times a round. You can only send a meteorproof hat to one of your NPC friends, the other one gets a llama with pneumonia.
In the end, as your last character standing tries to squeeze another ounce of lead out of his dated, empty handgun, you wonder how you could make everything even worse when

...

One or two reiterations later, your characters outsmart and outgun the man-eating continent, the nano-plague and the King of Rock, then manage to get through the quantum portal before the wave function stabilizes. When they have a dulled celebration in the speeding escape-triplane, among the weakening lights of old christmas decoration, you anticipate- yes, genuinely fear- the last trick that the story may pull, has to pull, will pull... as you see it, crouching in from above, unstoppable, untouchable, a lettering:

It is possible that the beta testing is just extending the next on-site minigame benefit to all backers instead of the few it was granted to earlier, but rereading it it does specify "adventure game", so I dunno.

Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”

I'm expecting the game to be emergent at the expense of sane content, really.  Otherwise a mix of the Sims and Diablo.  I do hope there's a way to scratch, though.  Also a multiplayer option, naturally.

I am just about 100% sure that it's either a point-and-click or a text-based adventure game.

I'm definitely going to avoid game spoilers, whether they're for the next flash or for the actual Homestuck game.

Homestuck content with a Sims-style character creator, in combination with Hussie's insane attention to details? Say hello to the most robust character creation system in history.

However, each copy has a one in three chance that all clothing, face, and body options are replaced with SBaHJ equivalents.

Are we talking 1 in 3 games played, or 1 in 3 copies of the game does this for every single game? I hope for the first.

Ctrl+F "Mark Hadley"

Also, he made the music for the ending animation of the first webcomic I ever read, Kid Radd, so yeah, I'm a fan.

He also made this solo album and a bunch of other cool stuff.
