You know that Hussie is horrible with deadlines.
Best Case:
2014 means 2016 here. The game will surpass Homestuck in it's content and complexity and it will be published in episodes. Episode 2 through 10 will deal with the misadventures of Young Colonel Sassacre and Dad Egbert in seahitler's waterworld.

Yeah I mostly meant that as just a plausible theory I decided to throw out, since their guns seem the same, and Doc Scratch's gun seems to have had some sort of space-ish powers when it shot at Snow woman.

Lil'Cal wasn't said to be short for anything else in the comic so it seemed vaguely likely.

Also I am debating how much is worth spending on the Homestuck Kickstarter also.

Guys, I actually have over $10,000 in the bank, right now.
...I'm tempted. Even though I know I'd regret it later, and my parents would flip the fuck out, I'm tempted.

Your fantroll will appear for five seconds before being disintegrated by LE.
This is probably what is going to happen.

Hoppy shit. A kickstarter for an adventure game based on the Homestuck Universe? inb4 9001% funded.

And understandably, the 10,000 and most likely 100,000 are already taken :P.

If those plushies became regular items in the store after the kickstarter, I would be so happy. Just so happy. But they're almost certainly promotional items, forever.

"I think the scalemate plushes came out especially great. They are of almost impossibly high quality for something produced in bulk. This item is in very limited supply--note the finite number available for that tier. There are a couple more hidden bundles to be revealed later, but once they're gone, that's it! That's all we have. But if the response to the scalemates turns out to be strong, we're going to look into making more sometime next year."

Well shit.
It begins.

Do you have to pledge to get the game or will it be a properly sold game as well?
The page is kind of vague.

They mention Steam, so yeah, it'll be available for purchase.  That's how these work - developers love preorders because it gives them the capital to get started, but they will gladly take your money later (often more money than if you preordered, though).

Psh that shipping grid had too heavy a bias towards Karkat and Nepeta shipping. And only with the kids, too! Hussie has got to step up his game here.

You simply cannot beat nepeta in a ship-off, she is the best there is.
Also how the fuck did Hussie arrange for Leo's symbol to be a ball of yarn, I don't even.  Some serious temporal hijinks up in here.

Alright I just read through all of Homestuck and tried to read through this entire thread, and still plan on doing it eventually though I'm at post 21975.

I wonder if any of this has been brought up yet but...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

So has anyone else made that sort of connection?
But wait, there's more! Doc Scratch shares with Calliope a talent for working within the rules to win, and respect for the spirit of those rules even when the letter would be more profitable. First Guardian powers are clearly spacy. Both Calliope and Doc Scratch shared a body with Caliborn/Lord English. Both are associated with the color green.

On the other hand, Calliope was the English one. Bit strange for Caliborn to choose his pseudonym based on that, don't you think?

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I sure hope it'll be available for the buyin' after this Kickstarter thing ends, and not just be available now for a limited time. I mean, I'd play the game, but I don't need very much of the other bits. I want a jacket, not a shirt, dangit!

Them scalemates would be real nice to have around though. Hoping they'll be available later too.

Wait, that kickstarter is by AH himself?

I, uh.

Hrm.

Well.

I dunno. I'm not that excited to hear this news. If you had asked me during Acts 1, 2, and 3 if Homestuck would make a good adventure game, I would've said yes. Now, not so much.

I'm expecting a non-broken SBURB session as the basis, since we haven't actually seen one of those (the closest being the Troll session, which was largely skipped over because it wasn't important to Homestuck). He's said it won't be an actual adaptation, and this seems like the obvious way to go.

So according to a thought over on MSPA forums by Kaleb, donations might sway how Homestuck ends. And not just a tiny bit.
The top reward. Your fantroll becoming the most important character in Homestuck. The most important. This could mean being the one to destroy Lord English. Or prevent him for dying.

Either way, it probably has something to do with LE.
For Homestuck to have a happy ending, we'd better get saving.

What were you expecting? Homestuck has one of the most Fanatical fanbases ever. Right up there with Touhou.

So this is what Hussie's been working on. Makes sense he wouldn't cease his signature work.

I want a plushie! :D

Guys.

We need to start our own kickstarter.

To raise enough money.

To make Freeformschoolers troll the most important character in homestuck.

There is no possible way life could ever be better than that.

We can send out stickers of his troll for all all backer reward levels.
