His manner of speaking is literally using offensive epithets and apologizing afterwards.

He said it was amazing that Latula's so brave despite having a disability and being a girl, and he used an epithet that is apparently the equivalent of "gimpy mcnolegs" for people with no sense of smell. He types a big game, but he's a bigoted asshole in person.

It's never been mentioned, so you can speculate wildly about whether there is one or not.

But I doubt there is. Trolls are violent and genocidal and their attitude towards rearing their youth is literally survival of the fittest. Karkat is beneath notice until he's survived long enough to join the Alternian military.
