It was never meant to be taken literally, it's shining a humourous light upon how girl gaming developed, and the music is secondary to the content of the lyrics. It's like if SBaHJ were the same but without being badly drawn, then placed into song form.
It is not bad in its quality, but in its inherent design. At the same time, that badness of design is its purpose.

I'd be embarrassed if anyone caught me listening to it, but I do like GameGrl. It's a marvelous counterpart to GameBro, and Tavia Morra's sickeningly peppy singing voice works really well. You can almost see the cheap candy-colored special effects and the bluescreen glitches. And the first time I heard the part where she seamlessly segues into a cereal advertisement, I actually burst out laughing.

It wouldn't be that bad, but her voice just makes me cringe. And not in the way SBaHJ makes me cringe; that's a good way. So for me, it is bad in quality but not in inherent design.

UPDATE. Did I get here first?

I was going to post "Are we really doing this again?" but that would have been dumb.  Now I can, because there's other things to discuss.  Namely, Hiatustuck.

The bottom line is, this is all going to add up to a whole lot of "me not updating Homestuck" for a while. It's not really what I want, but there's just no way around it.

So, near future is a whole lot of nothing and probably two cool but short flashes, until August or so.  Well then, let the shitting up commence.
