• Jake was clearly brought to the island by Post-Scratch!Jane
• Johns anscestor was made clear to be his Grandmother
• Dad exists in the Post-Scratch Universe exactly the same as he was Pre-Scratch
• Jake lives on an Island, not in a Sburban house
• Jade's Granddad clearly has the same interests as him
• Pretty much everything else about him says he is far from John's dad...

Well then.
First, it's post-scratch Jade, not Jane, that brought Jake to the island.
Second, it was actually made obvious that John and Jade share the same ancestors - Jane and Jake. They (John and Jade) refer to each other as siblings quite often.

As for the rest of it, I'm presuming that CJ1145 is discussing derping being a genetic function, while you're describing it as a function of how they were raised. As for who's correct, I have no idea, especially given Sburbian mechanics in play.

...I'm not sure if I should find it endearing or supremely dense that we're treating Dad as John's ACTUAL father here. Because as far as the whole "adopted parents might as well be real" thing goes, that's actually pretty sweet.

Except, I wasn't talking about any of that. I'm talking about Jake being John's actual, (ecto)biological father. And the Scratch argument holds no bearings, as the link I posted flat-out states the ONLY difference between Grandpa Harley and Jake is where in the timeline they wound up.

So yeah.
