Yeah, I don't like the new SBAHJ either. There aren't any hilarious lines like IT.S TIME TO GET: RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPED! so I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to take from this.

It's not supposed to be good. This whole trainwreck started on the Penny Arcade forums as a cruel mockery of someone else's shitty attempt on a webcomic, and that's what it's always been presented as. It's goal is to be terrible. If you think it's becoming worse, that just means it's succeeding. :P

ED: I forget what I was looking for, but I found this music video. It probably made the rounds her seven months ago, when it was new, but I figured that with Vriska apparently trying to make a comeback, I might as well link it.

Quote from: Andrew Hussie
I will go to some this year. You should come too...

San Diego Comic Con - July 12th - 15th
However at SDCC, cosplay is not only welcome, it is encouraged. Feel free to completely swamp this thing with Homestuck characters. Let's outnumber all the storm troopers, animes and Spider Men combined. We will show up on the news under the headline, "COMIC CON RUINED FOREVER: HOMESTUCK OFFICIALLY REPLACES STAR WARS." I give you my blessing to make this happen, and reserve the right to renounce all personal responsibility.

He ruined Tumblr.  He DoS'd Newgrounds.  He obliterates any blog he links to.  Now Hussie has set his sights on a new target.

Southern California has seen a lot weird shit in fiction and reality.  It's never seen anything like this.

I think I'll buy up stock in felt and gray paint.

I didn't think I'd break out the nub-horns that soon... I'll have to work fast.

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

And now, welcome to the saddest chapter in Homestuck.  Old women getting shanked, and terrible terrible parenting.

Dafuq is up with this panel? It seems to imply that she's trying to gain Vriska's mind control and Tavros' mind control, but there's no way that the existence of Tavrisprite isn't somehow involved given how closely they're positioned in the narrative.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

My initial reaction was that it's Vriska and Tavros trying to reassert their relevance, since the symbols floating over people's heads means they're being controlled by that particular troll.

I guess the Condescension trying to gain control over people and beasts makes sense as well.

Aqizzar come on here throw me a fucking bone, don't you dare hog all the credit. Ugh.

My theory for SBaHJ is that the bull is hussie and sweet bro is the fans and the shit is homestuck.

In other news, Dante Basco is positively puzzled by the first "RUFIOOOO" moment in hivebent. As of now, he has gotten to the troll romance bits. Somehow, they are making sense to him.

Well this certainly explained why Jake's last name is English.

Considering the comic's love of stable time loops, there may be more to that though.
