I just watched [S] Jane: Enter, and I'm WTF-ing like crazy.  So apparently the batterwitch was the ancestor troll royalty?  And years after the game starts trolls populate earth or something?  I got pretty much everything about the flash animation but that. The sealevel rose, and then the earth seemed to be populated again, presumably because of Trolls. Apparently.

The batterwitch was in the process of taking over earth when the reckoning happened and killed everyone. The scratch caused the reckoning not to happen, so she had time to take over.

But yeah, Hussie has himself in a weird position here.  He can write... uh, himself to safety, proving he's an invulnerable author insert.  Or he can not, and make the story exponentially weirder.

I mean yeah, it's all silliness anyway, and I got sick of these author-inserts long ago, but at least it's an interesting take on the idea.  And I bet I know which option he'd prefer.

New utterly-baseless crackpot theory: LE is actually a carapace from some long-ago session. Maybe he's an otherwise-unheard-of green carapace (Hey, chess is weird in those prior universes!) or maybe he just got imprinted with something green.
