Homestuck is very much a weird thing that has gone on for a longass time. Various aspects that people liked have changed and evolved. Especially now with this scratch nonsense and new trolls fuck I can see people not really keeping up unless they have particularly cool dudes to chat with.

 And lets face it, we are not nearly cool enough dudes to chat with Toony.

I assume that the Dream Bubbles are sort of like the afterlife in Dragon Ball Z (at least for the dead characters, dying while just dreaming would probably just wake you up).
Yeah, you're dead, but that doesn't mean you can't die again!
