This is me being totes serious.

Anyway, so I'm not wasting space, I don't know how I missed the tentacles in Jane: Enter.  I guess I filed them away as a natural element of a corrupted waterworld.  Yeah, I guess that does explain a few things about Scratch-Earth, and the Condesce.  But of course, Gl'b-golyb died, so that's a different space monster.  Unless it is Gl'b-golyb before she somehow gets sent into Alternia's past - that'd be par for the course at this point.

Hm, y'know, I've kind of got two theories about Jake right now.

The Condesce used his island as a sort of storage facility for the lusus lifeforms, and he's just about to Enter in order to avoid the flood.

The one I'm leaning toward, though, is that he is a year or so ahead of Jane, and exists at a time during which the Condesce has begun her public takeover of the world, and the lusii were only recently introduced to his island, having been borne aboard the battlecruiser. As mentioned here Jake apparently is in a position to better believe Dirk and Roxy than was Jane. I actually first thought he was overly credulous, but in light of recent events, I'm inclined to say that there are time shenanigans involved. It's still possible, though, that on his isolated island the Batterwitch had no qualms with revealing herself before her global takeover, as part of whatever she did to kill Jade (which I seem to recall being a thing that happened).
