"Check", not "Checkmate"

Additionally, according to the chess metaphor, there must be a second piece protecting the bunny. One who could kill Jack if/as he defeated the bunny.

John could also be that piece if it's going by chess rules. I just think it was a way to say the black king was in danger from the bunny and his uber weapons.

Your theory is equally valid though. If something shows up and distracts Jack then John can Abscond with the bunny, weapons, and ring.

Makes me think when Jack dies the command is going to be "Checkmate."

If that command shows up, I bet he escapes. Not only is checkmate supposed to be merely capturing the king, not killing him, Jack is something even higher up now. Normal chess rules probably don't work quite right.

Well, if that's how AR made it down, I wonder how WV and PM are going to get to Earth.

...Also, wait, then the frog temple got thrown into the past but AR's meteor got thrown into the future? That's the only way I can understand this making sense chronologically.

Considering these things were going into portals time-traveling everywhere, the idea that the frog temple flies into the distant past and AR flies to the future is not terribly out there.

But I'm still at odds over who and how their various flying sBurb machines came around. Meteors like this? Constructed underground?

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

They include space-helicopters of course.

Oh my... Jesus.

That is incredibly creepy. I mean, at least Grandpa didn't have any features but... holy shit. That is going to give me nightmares for a while.
