Do remember that Grandpa walked off into the mist with that book. I see no reason why the babies had to go WITH that book. We don't even know when each event in that books timeline sync up with actual timeline of events from our perspective. There are long periods of time in which that book is unaccounted for. More than enough time for it to be zipped off to the other session.

Unless they alchemize the book with a turntable to reverse it to an earlier point in its timeline, the book that postScratch John is holding can't be on a diversion in its own timeline before going back to the preScratch universe to go with preScratch John. Or unless Hussie asspulls it and retroactively edits that book to be old, I guess.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Does anyone here have a link to the Scratch/English background effects from [S] Cascade?

I am so glad I went through Bard Quest a few weeks ago so that, at this moment in time, I could get that reference.

And at the risk of echoing the pic for truth... Knowing how self-referential Hussie is, that has to be canon.

It's canon until proven otherwise.

Well, last we saw her she was in the furthest ring, so I'm guessing that the void between her fenestrated planes is actually the furthest ring, and the planes act as portals to it.

Since the shtick of Outer Space is that time and distance don't work the same way there, that would make the most sense.  Which kinda makes me distrust it, but there you go.

I know everybody's already seen it but I don't care.

Does anybody else think of one of these every time they see Jades hair?

Man, that's like something out of those japanese animes, isn't it?

Not exactly. It is a torii, basically a big Japanese gate with no doors. They were often put at the entrance to temples, as they are symbolic of the line between the common mundane common world, and the spiritual world of the temple. So basically on one side you can act like a jerk, and on the other you should show some respect, or something like that, I'm no expert.

Point is, the curve along the top reminds me of Jades hair.
