I'm willing to bet that with how oblivious John is to Vriska's death, that during the interim of three years, she'll be revived at the last second and meet up with John, and John'll be none the wiser that she was dead at all.

That would be fantastic.

Oh, Pshhh. Hussie doesn't like his characters that much. Besides, John has not been extensively shattered yet. Clearly, more breaking needs to happen.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Yeah it is.

My question is, what help can they meet while traveling through basically empty space?

This space is very strange.  They'll almost certainly pass through some dream bubbles, and who knows what else.  For all we know, they might accidentally pass through the troll ancestors' session and screw that up too.  I wouldn't put it past him at this point.

Doesn't John have those magic healing fruit gushers?
A while back I noticed that if you throw them out of your sylladex in [ S] ACT 4 ==> the box will actually drop things that heal you.

So my crundles are staying intact unless they're newly spawned... until they are exposed to anything that isn't at room temperature.  This mostly seems to mean blood, specifically, their own.  Then they go poof very quickly.

They're probably going to go through a bunch of dream bubbles.
My hope is that they'll recuit some dead trolls along the way (because I really want to see Eridan get his hipster revenge on Kanaya).

Maybe they'll run into Feferi, and she can do some weird Life-y Thing on WV?

Don't forget Tavros can do that breath of life thing. At least, that's what it seemed like, since he was doing a little windy thing when he was about to kiss Vriska.

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

I somehow believe that dream bubble shenanigans will bring some, if not all the trolls back to life.

Too bad, God-tier Aradia wouldn't be there to join them.

But then again, Bec Noir is also speeding towards them very fast, and as such, they wouldn't be able to stop by the dream bubbles and inspect those things.

...WTFishomestuck read some SBaHJ strips the other day while high on painkillers after a surgery. Apparently if you read them while high, they wind up being actually comprehensible.
