So who's going to claim they saw this coming?

Someone already assumed the MEOW was intended for Bec.

Cat version of Bec. Except it is on the bad guys side and the dog is on the good guys side.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

So, as of this moment, CG doesn't yet know that it was Jade's sequence breaking that gave Jack power. Interesting.

As for loose ends, there are the details of Grampa Harley's death and stuffing. And Jade's awakening. And John's awakening, for that matter. And the allegiance and intent of the Dark Gods of the Furthest Ring. And Jade's scheduled dreambot explosion. And whatever the trolls were so anxious to contact her about. The box probably contains a bunny, but that's still just a theory, and the details of the bunny and Jade's pen pal are shrouded in mystery. And there's the endgame "ultimate alchemy" that the grist hoard guarded by the Denizen is supposed to enable. And speaking of Denizens, the stuffed Typhon in Jade's tower house. And all four of the children will probably get some kind of artifact instrument like Dave's time tables. The light violin, the space bass and the pipe organ of breath? :)

How do we know the web browsers are the names of the denizens? Future Dave had apparently defeated "Hephaestus" but he also said he wasn't strong enough to beat a denizen.

Actually, he specifically stated that he didn't defeat Hephaestus, and instead obtained the hammer via "shenanigans". But I suppose it could have been just a regular foreshadowed-from-page-one epic boss battle, rather than THE denizen.

So, I'm just wondering here, but who here thinks that this story will end with them all dying?

I mean, the trolls insist they are going to lose, but I mean, that would be a totally downer ending. You think Andrew would do that? I hope not. I mean, that just would be lame.

I suspect you've never tried doing many illegal things yet in your game. The second the CCS knows you're "active", they'll come down on you like the hammer of God.

Law of narrative says they have to win, because at this point their loss would "mean less" than would their victory.

To answer your question he actually does all his work in photoshop, the name just stuck when he first started.  Don't worry, you'll be seeing a lot more really nice flash animations.

From memory, so could be wrong:
He started with paint but found that photoshop was easier and so for the remainder of problem sleuth emulated the mspaint art style in photoshop, and now has abandoned the art style entirely but not the story style.

He says he only did the first few panels in paint. And I mean, the first few panels of Jailbreak.
