Wait. Waitwaitwait. The CRATER was part of the METEOR that caused it!?! :O
Anyway. I would theorize that the genetic code is for Bec, but that's SOOOO done to death, and I still like my old theory better. Instead, I am going to guess that AR? will find Diamonds whoever he is in this timeline in the frog temple and try to arrest him. Dave's Sburb copy found its way in there somehow. The genetic code being somehow related to Jade would make sense, though, since it didn't matter when she wasn't in the game. Also, I reread the bit where Jade mucks about in the frog temple, and I feel like I'm standing right on the edge of an abyss of realization, and any second now my foot will slip and everything will make either more or less sense, depending.
She refused to answer a troll, and the trolls seemed desperate to contact her at some point when she was refusing to answer them. Is there something she was supposed to either do or not do here? Is this the fulcrum upon which the timelines shift? Will the item stored in the time capsule, designated for the exiles to unveil, be something utterly time-changing?
I almost feel like there's a segment missing between the frames where Jade dumps her inventory. It would make tremendous amounts of sense if the new item was something Jade dropped, but all her items are accounted for. Maybe the capsule just release its content's with a freaky schedule? I have no idea.
IDE/THEORY: Roses catcode winds up in the Frog Temple time capsule, to be found by the Exiles. In the Johnless time line, the frog temple was obliterated by Jade's meteor, and the code was thus irrelevant.
IDE/THEORY: The frog temple meteor is targeted at present!Jade, not millions of years in the past. Bec will teleport to the past with it, saving Jade, and becoming himself in the past.
