Dave's future-sword seems to have some kind of time thing that lets it switch between broken sword and intact sword. Doing this will change his specibus (just as John's did when he broke his hammer) and presumably either alter or eject all his other weapons.

Would adding back half of his one specibus increase the others to 150%?

Does that mean that he could only wield exactly one and a half hammers?

Dave's  strife specibus is permenantly set to 1/2 swordkind.

BTW, the stife specibus is only a storage method. He could store a whole sword in his hashmap. He doesn't, because using the hasmap on every imp is a pain in the ass. He can wield a whole sword, but how could he get one? oh wait using fancy time powers on his broken sword. He can then put back the time sword by, uh, reversing it.

Doesn't really explain why he doesn't carry his sword around by hand, but I assume that makes it easy to loose.

Wow. I had previously thought that MSPA couldn't get any weirder.

I see now that I was terribly wrong.

Don't go farther back in time and just not copy the book, that'd be silly.

Either way he's perched on a beam in the last page, Batman-like.

Andrew put that update out in chunks. I tuned in in the middle of one of the updates, and almost missed the second part, where he sees his dead time double.

I like how Dave is completely nonchalant about seeing his dead time-copy. "oh look i died in the past, better not try that again" Far too chill to be bothered about having to toss his lifeless body out of a window into a sea of lava.

Actually his reaction makes perfect sense: Dave is a dwarf.

Dave Strider has been quite content lately. He talked to a friend recently. He had a fine drink recently. A doomsday artifact was stolen from him by the forces of evil recently. He has witnessed death. He passed to the Medium recently. He has been attacked recently. He fell down some stairs lately. He witnessed a time paradox lately. He has been accosted by terrible vermin. He has been satisfied with Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff lately. He alchemized with a legendary alchemiter recently.

He likes irony, amber, swords and jpeg artifacts. He absolutely detests smuppets.

Yeah Dave must be really desensitized to be able to throw his lifeless corpse out a window and not care at all.

He's not desensitized, it's just he'd never show it. He's that fucking rad.
