But wait, does this mean that in the new universe. The new kids guardians will be similar to John, Rose, Dave, and Jade? If so that would be extremely awesome.

If you noticed, Jane's color is identical to Nannasprite's, Jake's is Jadesprite's, (Mom)'s is Jaspersprite's, and (Bro)'s is Davesprite's.

So.. I have a feeling that:

John is Jane's "Dad", with tremendous mangrit and a penchant for wielding hammers.
Rose is Mom's "Mom", whose affinity with magic is far greater than rose's mom herself.
Dave is Bro's "Bro", who will fill up Bro's role as a speedy mentor. I think he's pretty much the same as bro in this regard, except that he wields broken pieces of s**t for weapons instead of cool katanas.
Jade is Hass'... well... she probably fills the role of Becquerel, whatever that entails.

None of them would die; they are god-tiers after all.

 If Jane's Dad is a version of John then he won't be John Eggbert, guy who became the Heir of Breath and helped orchestrate the Scratch. This is a different John.
