I finally found a fellow homestuck reader on 10/25 last month. It was glorious.

I have possibly converted a homestuck at my transition school. Time will tell. I tried last Monday but I had to leave after a couple min and he only made it to page 3 before he said 'fuck it'. I have convinced him to get a bit further before knocking it, so we shall see.

Back in 2009, I was sleeping through a college Public Speaking credit, and made friends with this girl who did a "How To" speech on making webcomics (she pointed to XKCD for how easy it is).  Problem Sleuth had ended that very week, and I told her about it since she'd never heard of it.  She said she didn't want to read a comic that had already ended, even though she was a huge webcomic nerd.  I didn't really notice Homestuck until the semester had ended (since John spent two months launching cakes out of his inventory), so it never came up.

I have absolutely no doubt that she's probably a Troll Cosplayer by now, since she dedicated another speech to the joys of roleplaying.

???

Stuff like this has probably already been around for ages but only now has it creeped into my usual sources.

I don't know if I mind or not.

I have managed to ferret out the ten or so Homestuck readers in my school while still staying off radar. I am planning some sort of Homestuck themed social trap.

Leave buckets filial pails around the school. See who responds with disgust.

I like the girl on the right in the first one.  Smile politely, back away slowly.

There is only one thing I can do to find other Homestuck fans, TIME TO SAY RANDOM HOMESTUCK REFERENCES.

I also am considering getting a Hero of Mind Shirt, or if I feel like weirding people out a Hero of Heart shirt.

I write "Midnight Crew" on the tables in eraser at my school. It's easy enough to wipe off, but maybe someone will find out they aren't alone in their love for Jazzy Black Mobsters.

Also I got a redneck addicted to the strife album.

A sudden observation, while doing an impromptu archive search.

November 11th, of 2009.  Weird plot shit, and the very first message from ol' graycaps.

November 11th, of 2010.  Absolute enraged beauty.

I hold out hope for similar shenanigans when the comic returns on the upcoming November 11th.  And hereby christen it Jade/Karkat Day.

I like to drop Homestuck jokes and pretend I've never read it, and that me and my friends independently invented the joke. Seeing kids seethe with nerd rage and that inner desire to lecture me about Homestuck, all while knowing that since we are IRL, they can't.
