Basically; Gandalf has all the properties of a Mary Sue, without actually being one due to being written well.
Well, yes. I was mostly complaining on the terminology. "Mary Sue" implies that the character in question is NOT written well. :)

Also, this is how the story goes:

I wish I had something to say on the actual stated topic of this thread. Has anyone brought up this artifact lately? It is inevitably going to appear in Homestuck eventually.

Yeah, we have. It's theorized this is what you get when you cross the Problem Sleuth game and a hammer.

Here's the book.

I'm going to have to buy this...even though it's over-priced.

Just bought Volume 4 of the music.

It has a neat wallpaper, likely as bonus content.

Also, started trying to make a windows media player visualization once again. This time, I realized that it is merely a standard COM object with a particular interface, so I don't have to try to make a replacement ATL or MFC, I can just implement it all myself.
If I succeed, the visualization will be a music-reacting animated SBURB spirograph, as seen in the start animation twice now. (00137 and 01149, by their storyfiles index.)

After nearly a day of fighting windows, I finished the hard part of creating a windows media player plugin.

Now that I have a row of frequency-based, OpenGL-rendered, points, it shouldn't be nearly as hard to make it actually draw something reasonable.

I think I am going to have to buy it too, though 20 dollars is kind of steep. Then again, it is 192 pages of full color stuff, I doubt that came cheap/

I suspect you've never tried doing many illegal things yet in your game. The second the CCS knows you're "active", they'll come down on you like the hammer of God.

I would totally try that if I wasn't running Linux.

It's been a couple of days since the last MSPA update. Is Andrew working on a flash page or just busy from the book nonsense? Who knows!

Flash animation, in fact if his last comment about flash animations is correct, he's currently working on the SUPER AWESOME AMAZING flash that he intended to release for the anniversary but ran out of time.
