Vector,
I wrote a big explanation of what exactly I didn't like about the writing in the Chords-thing.

But it was pretty dumb, so I'm just gonna summarize. It just doesn't feel... well crafted. to me. Its technically correct, but has no flow and no style. Its painfully boring, when its not outright confusing or just stupid out of place homestuck references.

I only read to here though.

But then, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Spiderses, so take my opinions about what is and isn't good writing with a grain of salt, eh? ;)

This is already a great game, and nobody is even writing anything.

Vriska and Sollux, at the crime scene, "What pumpkin?", and it took six weeks to recuperate.  <- Sounds like a job for the Troll Cops.
Dave and Fefery, in the Land of Heat and Clockwork, caught it the act, and they were never seen again.  <- The resolution fits for Feferi going there, but the "caught in the act" card does not help.
Jade and Karkat, at LoLCaT, have to stop him before he kills again, and that day will live on in Legend.  <- I wonder who killed who this time.
Vriska and Kanaya, in a mountain chalet, have a traitor in their midst (gee, guess who), and it's been haunted ever since.  <- Hellooo, Homestuckvania.

Feferi and Eridan on Prospit.
Nothing to wear.
Turns out she was dead all along.

Eridan is creepy as fuck even in randomly drawn cards.

I actually quit reading way before that due to the tired, empty references that are usually a sign of over-exuberant fangirling and pallid characterizations.  That, and... yeah, you're right, absolutely nothing interesting is happening =/

Anyway, thanks for talking to me about it =)

Also, this card plot thing generator is wonderful

Also, I used to play almost exactly this same game in High School and college with the cards and everything, and apples to apples (which bores me to tears) usually devolves into this whenever I play.

I didn't realize someone had bothered formalizing rules to it (nanofictionary), though I'm not surprised that its a common idea.

I got:
Karkat and Nepeta in a dream bubble. But it's on fire!...and everyone felt better after a good breakfast.

ACTION: Rule 63 + Gamzee + Vriska + Land of Brains and Fire + we're out of Faygo + it's been haunted ever since.

The story almost tells itself really.

Rose and John.
Someone died in the temple to unknown gods.
And so she won first prize.

Sollux and Jade.
Out at sea, they ran out of Faygo.
And then no one doubted who was the STRONGest.

Okay, I've gotten some combination of Eridan + Romance Denied + Thus Justice Was Served twice now.  This is getting as weird as it is hilarious.  (Locations are essentially meaningless - one was Aradia, the other Dave and the Rule 63 card.  I'm not even going to ponder where to put that one.)

Also, I get the Crackbaby card all the damn time.

Didn't you know? Jade is automatically Rule 63'd.

I got A Christmas Carol:

Equius (Scrooge) + Tavros + LOHAC + Harassment from the dead + they learned the true meaning of christmas.

Oh gog the true love resolution is horrifying.

Bloodswap AU + Dave Strider + Nepeta Leijon + the big city + back for revenge + everyone felt better after a good breakfast

Okay, so I wrote it.

Eridan + Gamzee in the forest. An oppressive parent.

And then they learned the true meaning of christmas.

Does anyone else read these in a movie announcer voice? Cuz I do.

one was Aradia, the other Dave and the Rule 63 card.  I'm not even going to ponder where to put that one.

Goddammit, I have a fanart perfect for this but the site hosting it is down.

It isn't even particularly weird given the premise.

I like how another one is "manipula8ed by Vriska".  She can show up in any story.

one was Aradia, the other Dave and the Rule 63 card.  I'm not even going to ponder where to put that one.

Goddammit, I have a fanart perfect for this but the site hosting it is down.

I find that amazing and difficult to believe, so thanks, now I can't stop thinking about it.

Anyway, I wish I could see some of the the original art for these cards, I'd never seen this one.

John and Karkat, at the end of the world, and the quadrant is already full!  But everyone felt better after a good breakfast.  <- There's the end of the comic.
Tavros and Vriska have a baby deep in the Veil.  Someone's dead body is found, and in the end child and parent were together at last.  <- No possible good interpretation.
