Now I'm imagining Nanna and Grandpa as Hänsel and Gretel. Probably also was an inspiration for Hussie.

The upside-down daedric on the trident symbol says "Battleship Condescension". Even the initials are same. Everything suggests at the Troll Empress being Betty Crocker, except the idea being completely ridiculous. I really couldn't see any other author getting away with plots this silly.

Yeah, this is the longest-building asspull in the comic. Betty Crocker predates even Li'l Cal. What's Hussie going to pull next? Is there anything going on in the first couple dozen pages that hasn't played a vital part in the story yet?

How did you even read these runes? They are kinda hard to decipher with their color.

Huh? What do you mean? I don't see anything difficult about reading those runes, except that they're, you know. Upside down Daedric. I just compared them with the page on Daedric alphabet on the Elder Scrolls wiki.

See, the funny part is, that's not a malignant cloud of grimdark energy forming a terrible halo around her.  It's just a plain old kitchen fire hazard.

Theory: Doc Scratch has intentionally sabotaged the kid's session in a way that forces them to cause the scratch while leaving them able to do so, to create another reseted universe for Lord English

Yeah, this is the longest-building asspull in the comic.

I would instead say that it would be the biggest asspull in the HISTORY of comics.

I think thats pretty obvious now.

Lord English forces sessions to scratch, and thats how he gets into them. When the kids reset their session, their world will be turned into a battleground of misery overseen by their own version of Doc, but it will be fertile and will spawn another session in an endless sequence. That's why he's gone through all the effort to convince the kids to scratch their session. We knew he had an angle, now its blatantly obvious what the angle was.

I'd be willing to bet the only reason the original trolls failed was because of meddling in the session that created them. And maybe Globlygolthingy was the "alien" from the session that came before theirs.

The real question is, is Lord English an integral part of the game, or a corruption of it?

He is, in a way, like the Horrorterrors: he merely is.

Speaking of Horrorterrors, did we ever get confirmation on who was killing them?

I still think 8-Bit Theater's "The final boss's death is a brick jock from comic seven, ten years ago" thing beats this.

Considering that Chaos was the final boss in the game the comic was based on, no.
