Some time within or near the months of October and/or December, or winter/spring of next year.

I base these guesses on absolutely nothing.

So yeah, new bets for a date on the end of act flash?  Since this would appear to be the end or nearly the end of the scrapbook.

Not any time soon.

Hussie's going to keep up this nearly end of act suspense up for a couple months longer, like he's already done for the past few months.

There will be no End-of-Act flash, only another Recap of the events so far before moving onto Act 6 with little to no resolution.

and then he's going to do it again for a couple months then

spoiler: Homestuck doesn't actually end. After a while in our photo tour, the photos start being of the salamanders, chronicling the grand tale of Crumplehat and Secret Wizard, from their birth to the moment they die in each other's arms as the scratch annihilates them.

I wouldn't put it past Hussie to make Homestuck an eternally expanding story until he finally dies of being hunted by crazed Homestuck fans.

Is it bad that Hussie is my hero? Someone that I wish I could be like, but don't have the skill or drive to emulate?

Not at all. Everybody should strive to be as Hussnasty as the Hussnastiest Hussmaster.

But sadly, nobody can, because nobody has the ridiculous lips he does.

Not that anything more will be explained about the Scratch than what already has been-- that's old news now, or will be soon, so no need to use it as anything more than a plot device. It will go the way of the Flighty Broads and Their Snarky Horseshitometer.
He will achieve this by abruptly switching over to the perspective of one of John's consorts and introduce them (i.e. Your name is CRUMPLEHAT. You are a SECRET WIZARD., etc.) and then put Act 5.2 on hold to begin Subact 1.
Compare the importance of the roles of the trolls and the kids to that of the consorts. Somehow, it will be flipped reverse-ways, except this time around the consorts will be more important than the kids/trolls ever were.
Now that I think about it, is Crumplehat the new FedoraFreak?

Is it bad that Hussie is my hero? Someone that I wish I could be like, but don't have the skill or drive to emulate?
What if just Hussie disappeared one day? Would that give you incentive to follow in his footsteps and live on his legacy? Hypothetically, of course.

I wouldn't put it past Hussie to make Homestuck an eternally expanding story until he finally dies of being hunted by crazed Homestuck fans.
But who could possibly want to do that without having something or someone prepared ahead of time to take his place?
Hussie is [...] Someone that I wish I could be

But sadly, nobody can, because nobody has the ridiculous lips he does.
Do they have to be natural?

Insert M. Night Shyamalan reference here.

Also, this just got a whole lot more relevant. And sad :(

Aw man, I was gonna post that.  Since she just finished it yesterday, I figured I had the hookup, but Duke beats me again.  Also, other funny stuff, like Droog and Aradia cosplayers who also not disgusting looking.

Here, have some more doomed Karkat.  The poor guy does make a surprisingly good vector of pathos.  He is the Sufferer, a good chunk of the story is really about what a terrible fuck up he is, only to be revealed that his fuck ups are instrumental to the ending.  I hope he lives long enough to enjoy it.

(We already kinda know he does, which helps.)

As the local saying goes, dont do today what you could do tomorrow.  Saw this thing in development yesterday bipches.

And yet again Vriska dominates my dump. Fuck. At least I have Vecor trolling anti-trolling stuff in there.
