*thought happens*

What happened to the trolls The Tumor. ?
I'm pretty sure it's mentioned that only sessions fated to fail have those.
The game knows ahead of time whether a Tumor is needed or not, and places them accordingly.
I thought it was going to fail due to The Tumor's presence.

No. The tumors purpose is, if a session fails to produce a universe, to destroy the medium that session created to prevent an overabundance of dead sessions.

But The Tumor is always there, so a session that's doomed to fail is doomed to fail from the start.

I was under the impression the tumor was the result of screwing up the prototyping, meaning malformed skaia, meaning tumor, meaning guaranteed failure.

Rose screwed it up by prototyping twice before entering the medium (you are only supposed to do it once).

Thus, session can not be won (and everything else is a side effect).

Though, we've really got no evidence there isn't a tumor in the trolls session as well, honestly. Could be something that exists in every session.

(Personally, I think in a non-failed session it would be replaced by the world egg frog thing)

I think I remember it being said in the comic that the trolls' session was doomed or something. I'm more sure, positive even, that it was said that Tumors only ever occurred in doomed sessions; if a session was successful, then there could not have had a Tumor present in it.

I always thought that Jack becoming a god doomed their session to not produce a new universe.

There are lots of possibilities why their universe couldn't work stuff out, and we'll just need to wait and see how the new universe plays out to avoid it.

Theory: The kid's universe will actually be the green sun, and it will be created at the same time it's destroyed right before the scratch, from their session's view of time.
Theory: If they fight Lord English at some point, he will be defeated using the crowbar, since it's been said he can't be killed due to existing in a stable timeloop.
Theory: It's impossible to play a clean, perfect game with no abuse of unstable time loops and everyone reaching god tiers and both the black royals properly defeated in battle by the players and other things like that, since that would create theoretically perfect universe that would fail at being a living world. Jack is one of the elements that is supposed to prevent that from happening.

Actually that last one makes sense.

Too much sense. Dismissed!
E: He probably means that the resulting universe would probably be, ya know, stagnant. Heat death before it even starts to exist. A miscarriage, if you will.

No, it doesn't make any sense. Why are you saying it makes sense. What are we doing here, it is not a thing that makes sense.

Sense are not any making you. You are of none.

MY theory, which is obviously superior by way of it being mine, is that every session has an example of THE TUMOR, but in successful world-creating sessions THE TUMOR is benign. In the kids' session, and other doomed sessions, it becomes malignant.

Well, an universe that you could examine and everything would look good, but nothing worth mentioning would ever happen during it's history since there's no element of chaos.

I think there is a disconnect in logic between how successful a session is and how well-off the created universe is. I don't think there is a correlation besides sessions that screw up and mess something up.

I have been reading the beginning of this thread again, and it's hilarious seeing just how wrong you all were.
