I'm sure there's a flash in the works, there has to be for this anniversary of all anniversaries.  The anniversary of the shippan-verse that took Tumblr (and Tindeck and /co/ and Deviantart and countless comic conventions) by storm.  But it's already been a couple days, and it's still six to go.  C'mon biglips, throw us a bone here, I don't want to look at Spidertroll and Dogman and Matchsticks powering up for nine days without so much as a gagline.

Still no updates :3

He's waiting until he can go outside and hear warning sirens, see people frothing at the mouth and jumping off bridges, all because of lack of updates.

I got mine by mercilessly rotating it in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.

Yeah, JPEG is way faster.

Especially if you use GIMP. It has this slider. If you turn it down to one, MAXIMUM BAD QUALITY.

Oh whoops, I meant to say jpeg. I'm just so used to saving things normally as artifact-free gifs that I didn't even realize. Yes, jpeging is the way to go.

In my case, I flipped back and forth between them.  I started with an original, drawn as crappily as possible in MSPaint, then I would save it as a gif, make an edit and hard-resize it, save as a jpg, edit and hard resize, lather rinse repeat.  I didn't think about the fill-border effect, which would have been great, but Windows 7's version of Paint gives you a lot of screwy tools and ugly eraser abilities, which is why mine looks like a digitized drawing of a washed-out crayon portrait of a digitized drawing.

I use the version Hussie described on his forumspring one day, where he would set the image to be saved as the lowest quality jpeg he could but not saving it. He would preview the image and print screen the result, pasting that into the program. Repeat as many times as necessary.

The paint fill thing sounds wonderful and I shall try that.

It doesn't matter who Rose is, because she should be Yoko,
I know we are all sick of this but I promise this is more about Homestuck than GL specifically.

Every time somebody attempted this they had Jade be Yoko for obvious reasons. And I hated it every time. As Aqizzar said one time maybe, she is the cute 13-year-old girl you know in real life that suddenly makes things awkward when you see her 7 years later and she's grown up. In that situation you slowly get over the shock and accept that it's who she is now.

But these fictional characters are still 13, so flipping away from that in fanart sorta forms some weird feelings in your head that don't really work out because they are still 13. Kinda why a lot of the romance stuff beyond mushy teenage crushes pisses me off. I'll admit it's a very weird personal standard that I can't really hold to anybody else accountable to and this is just me bitching, but I'm still gonna hate it because hey I can and it won't make a difference to anybody.

Buck up friendo, we're all on the level here.
I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.
