No it's just my own limited knowledge of Spanish. I knew it wasn't horse, but I wasn't sure what else it could be. Horse is, like, caballo or something I think?

According to Wikipedia, it's Spanish for a male horse.
I myself was using my knowledge of Spanish, plus some Spanish grammar sites for grammatical morphemes I haven't learned yet.

So, a stallion? Which I guess is usually a good thing, unless the spanish connotation is different.

Edit: Having actually read the posts with the context, that seems right. They are stallions. Which, it seems, the Spanish use just like "Bad Dudes".
