Whatever cannot be explained by bizarre troll biology can be explained by gaming abstractions. It doesn't matter how badly a troll gets injured as long as he still has hit points left. Kanaya wasn't actually trying to hurt Tavros (too much) when she sawed his legs off. Vriska was had reached the god tiers when she stabbed Tavros, and she hurled him into a pit afterwards. Eridan was blasting holes in trolls with a science wand that was more powerful than Sollux' eye beams, which had earlier been on par with Ahab's Crosshairs, a legendary epic weapon. And right now, Kanaya's probably enjoying a lot of rainbow drinker damage bonuses. Everything makes sense. :P

These are probably the goriest panels yet. Even more blood than Vriska's death scene.

Although ideally they would realize they can probably just stick some blood in a jar and alchemize it.

They're going to alchemize the mangled corpses.

I didn't get to see the last few updates a panel at a time, I got to see them all at once.  When I got to glowy, chainsawy Kanaya screaming the bloodiest of bloody murder yet, I had to do something else for a minute to let the anticipation sink in.  I honestly didn't think she was actually going to go all the way, or at least not on-screen.  Boy was I surprised.

Okay, let's do a bulge-count, just to keep up to speed-

Karkat: Losing his marbles, but otherwise unharmed.
Terezi: Vamped, but cared for.
Gamzee: Punted into the abyss.
Tavros: Dead as disco.
Vriska: Clocked silly.
Kanaya: Gone on glowy, wombless rampage.
Equius: Dead to rights.
Aradia: Blown up, now Butterfly of Time but nobody but dead-Dave knows that.
Nepeta: Schrodinger's Leo.
Eridan: Dead as Dillinger.
Feferi: Dead as a doornail.
Sollux: Blind, fried, and toothless, but happy about it.

While I'm at it:
John: Doin' the windy thing to the max.
Rose: Losing her religion, possibly fading to black.
Dave: In many places at once, all but one of them doomed.
Jade: Cloning up the Michigan Chorus Line.
Bro: Dead and deader.
Dad and Mom: Tea partying the house down, oh wai-
Jack: Getting ready to make things a whole lot sadder.

From my extensive experience with gaming abstractions, hurling somebody into a pit after inflicting what should be a fatal wound is a 100% guaranteed way of restoring them to perfect health.

Nah, I'm pretty sure he's pro enough to keep the timeline stable and the dave corpses from piling up.

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

Yah, as was said, not true. He tries to stick to stable timelines, except for when he's tricked by stupid blind trolls ;)

Also, everything is awesome.

She just turns around slowly, grabs Eridan's wand, snaps it, and then we see a fountian of purple run down the platform.

...for 6 panels.

Vriska is in the fetal position for the rest of the story.

so fucking close.

OK, so I think I got the next revival mechanic figured out. So, the bodies are capchalogued, and stuck under an intellibeam, and alchemized. This results in a full [EX-DEAD_PERSON].

But the only person with a modus which can handle items that big is Eggbert, with the Wallet modus.

I wonder if Kanaya can't just create a new functioning copy of the time device.

Also, the code for players, even dead ones, just makes brains, remember?

See: Attempts to create Dave and Sollux.

And I'm the one person a little sad to see Eridan gone.
But simultaneously, screw Eridan because Kanaya is the best.
Hey, if it's a choice between Kanaya and Eridan surviving then Eridan is going down, but I was kinda hoping he would be smacked around a bit/shitted himself in terror and passed out.

I'm just wondering if all this feuding is pointless, or serving some grander plan.
