Annoying Dualscar was gravy. And the beginning suggests that it was kind of silly of him to be annoyed, anyway, and that trolls generally mind their own business when it comes to quadrants they're not in.
Like Vriska herself, "Mindfang" is letting her signals cross on a few different levels. As a Gambler, she doesn't want to know anything about the target of her freaky piratesex game, but she goes farther in thinking it silly to care at all - if the outcome doesn't matter, then what's the point of gambling? She's fooling around with slaves and blood and whatnot precisely too piss off Dualscar, but she's gotten so used to his predictable responses, that it's lost its thrill and become routine, and now actually finding an honest lover, when she was really just pretending to all along, has become the point. And she's not entirely sure of that, and enjoys how despicable it is.
So we come to find out that Vriska, as a small child, complimented her parentage from Shelob with teaching herself to be a villain, by reading trashy melodramaaaaaaaatic dark-fantasy
8lue novels. It kinda falls into place really. Now the two big questions are, did Eridan find a similar journal from his genetic past-life (in all likelihood, he probably lives in Dualscar's old ship), and how did Vriska manage to whiff every slowball Kanaya tossed at her? They're perfect for each other.
